Burt - Re: " But long term all that matters is whether Intel has a good business plan and whether they can execute. So far, they have done a great job on business plans and they usually execute well. They are not immune to wild cards like the downturn in Asia, but they are very nimble, simultaneously conservative and aggressive.
All a long termer can do is watch these technical market events for buying opportunities (as you indicated you have done) and try to pick off some long term bargains. "

This an excellent summary of the situation.

Thanks!

On days like today, I'm glad I own quality stocks such as Intel. They are in it for the long haul, and so am I!

Paul

Burt,
You are correct. Jack left SI because those whose basis is $.50/share and tell everyone that Intel is a great long term hold, criticized him.
You can however contact him on Prodigy Classic where he has a subject called "Intel Bounce".
Best regards, Jim
