>>Well, the LS-120 drive is available as an option on every Compaq laptop.<<

I visited the web site for Compaq:

compaq.com

I did a search for LS-120 and Superdisk. Didn't find anything...

You'd think they'd be easier to find if they really were options on Compaq laptop...I'm not saying they aren't options...I just can't find them...

I looked in my microwarehouse catalogue...extensive section on Compaq desktops and laptops....nary a word about optional LS-120 or Superdisk.

You might ask your friends where they got theirs...we'd all like to know <g>

Philip

P.S. also looked here....can you find LS-120?

compaq.com

They do seem to offer the Zip drive as an option...

"Well, the LS-120 drive is available as an option on every Compaq laptop."

As a new owner of a CPQ Presario 1220 notebook, I can assure you that the LS-120 is not an option. I believe that it is not an option on any of the Presario notebooks. Also I have heard that CPQ is getting out of the desktop line.. Haven't confirmed that yet though.
