Dwight,
Regarding Henry & Tony, funny you should mention. I've been trying to remember an episode of the original Star Trek where the trekkers encountered these 2 aliens, one of whom was 1/2 white, and the other 1/2 black (mirror images of one another?), who pursued one another across time and the universe trying to destroy each other. I haven't quite managed to recall the episode, but I feel certain it's relevant. (Help, anyone?)
Anyway, in case one ever wondered: yes - it is possible to "strike a responsive chord" by playing only "one note". Although, for the nonresponsive, I suppose it's kind of like listening to a faucet dripping.
Cheers,
John
