A strong close? What are you nuts?

"Nah, I look at it this way...A lot of our stocks got whacked early but then came back quite nicely by the close. Mucho bottom fishing in NE, ESV, FGII (not much of a bottom there), etc. Cliff's closed down, but well above it's low."

But the market, the market.

"Who gives a damn. As many a brilliant poster has said here, the money has got to flow somewhere and the ONLY sector that provides value at the moment is the oil service sector. With the tech stocks taking it on chin, as well as grandmothers like Fanny Mae, we did very well."

How can you be so bloody optimistic (sanguine in oil speak)?

"Because I know that 5-6 points either way do NOT a millionaire make. But man, oh man...when Cliff's, Noble, FGII double and then on and on and on with that 3-5 year cycle..."

Perhaps you should fund the rig party for the year 2000.

"Yeah, right. Those Texans would break me with all those ribs they'd eat."
