CheckFree to Purchase 150,000 ft Office Building in Dublin, OH COLUMBUS (April 27, 1998) -- CheckFree (NASDAQ: CKFR) today announced that it intends to purchase a 150,000 square foot office building in Dublin, Ohio. The Company expects to complete the purchase from White Consolidated Industries, Inc. upon the approval of tax incentives by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority and the city of Dublin. Terms of the planned transaction were not disclosed. "This is an ideal location and facility for CheckFree1s Columbus-area operations," said Peter J. Kight, chairman and chief executive officer of CheckFree. "We have been struggling with space limitations in our current locations since experiencing rapid growth during the past two years. The facility will provide the space we need today and allow space for aggressive recruiting efforts in the years to come." After office renovations are complete, all CheckFree employees that make up the High Street and Lakeview Blvd. locations in Worthington will relocate to the site at 6000 Perimeter Drive. "The Ohio Tax Credit Authority and the city of Dublin have been instrumental in CheckFree1s decision to remain in Ohio," said Ricky Camp, CheckFree vice president of Administration. "Without their help, we would not have been able to work through all the normal real estate hurdles so quickly."
