On the contrary, I'm -quite happy- SGI owns the Hollywood high-end digital effects marketplace and has been busy tapping it for everything it's worth, plus or minus a few hundred million silvers a year. And you know what Eli? I hope they continue to dominate this market too... forever! My point is, -EVERYBODY KNOWS- SGI owns the digital effects market. To the extent where they think it's the -ONLY- market SGI owns. IMO, SGI would well to advance the reality that are indeed players in other more general business markets... like the ones you noted for example: web serving, data mining and media serving. All stellar choices I might add. The sooner SGI does this the better. And one surefire way they can start is by taking -ALL CASH- for their Hollywood sales instead of crass commercial time in crapshoot effects flicks that only perpetuate the myth of who they don't need to be! Dig? You know Eli, I've got a little hideout in AZ where I spend a good portion of my time when I'm stateside. It's only a short "camel trek" to MV. For now, Camp MD will wait and see what the new SGI marketing folks (don't) produce... Mathon btw: Where can I get one of those cool SGI Reality Engine wrist watches???
