As a confirmed "Dummie", I must say that virtually all the investing books and guides I've read speak of long term investing in terms of years... not months or weeks, and DEFINITELY not days... With all the anti day trading sentiment here, is anyone here really concerned about what happened over the course of a morning?

I have shifted my portfolio almost completely around since I started a few months back, and I now own stocks that I am comfortable with. I now use the BTS system to take profit and let free shares ride, using profits to buy up other issues...
The only drag about today is that I didn't get to take any $$ out to sink into the bargains that abound....

I onlywish I had been smart enough to do this from the start... I would have a lot more free shares in good companies, and I wouldn't have been burned as often...

Oh well, education can be a lengthy and expensive process.....

cheers,

MG

Dang Feds, who needs them?

Not Me! Up in Canada our "Feds" ride horses, live in igloos, and aren't allowed to talk....so they don't bother me as much.
