Are you refering to the overall market, or ACOR, which saw it's bid/ask price get "pounded" down 1/8 on 5,700 shares traded?

On big market selloffs like today, people get margin calls. When they get margin calls, they have to sell something to cover them. They most often look for places to take profits to cover the calls, with ACOR being an ideal candidate, since it is up from the low 1's just a couple of weeks ago.

Overall, today wasn't too bad for ACOR. Hopefully the rumored press releases and fax releases will start coming out soon to drive the volume and price back up.

I agree with Gator, ACOR is still in good shape and did not get "pounded" as you put it. Hell, it was only a 700 share trade at the bid of the ridiculously wide spread that brought the close to where it is. In fact, this may have been a blessing in disguise, since the stock has graciously given a "teaser" entry point to potential new investors who may have been investigating ACOR and contemplated buying. Also gives some of us a buying opportunity.

I say this glass if "half full".

I will gladly pay a 1/8 pt today for a "whopper" in the next few weeks. (to paraphrase Wimpy)

I just got back, and was about to reply when I saw Jerry S's message. . . he said exactly what I would have said. A 700 share sell causes this "pounding." I believe we are seeing the calm before the storm. . . I didn't speak to Elli Alon today, but I assume news will still be out in a day or so. Keep an eye on Edgar because filings should be there any time. . . and I think first news release will go along with financials.
