DSC Reports First Quarter Results

DALLAS, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- DSC Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: DIGI - news) announced today its operating results for the first quarter of 1998. Revenue for the 1998 first quarter was $314.8 million compared to $346.2 million recorded in the first quarter of 1997. The company incurred a net loss for the quarter of $30.1 million, or $0.25 per diluted share, compared to net income of $16.4 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, for the same period in 1997.

Well, any opinions? I don't understand how they could possibly miss on revenues, after preannouncing after the quarter ended?

What did you guys say this man makes? 6 million a year? Haven't we heard these exact words from him before?
