From WDC thread,...
Hey gang!
Haven't heard the conference call yet. Was absolutely swamped with orders today. INteresting, even down 220, market seemed calm and people did a reasonable amount of buying.

ie. WDC earnings - the number, per se, looked a penny or so weak from my numbers. From experience, I always anticipate absolutely the worst. I figure if I feel comfortable owning the company in the worst possible scenario, its a keeper. Anyway, I had 50. They came 51. who knows, maybe they bought a couple of photocopiers late in the qtr. (thats a joke).

The press release looked reasonable. I like the fact that most market participants are considering this the bottom of the industry downturn and infact are considering a uptick in demand relative to supply over the next two.

Institutions have been piling into this stock and SEG over the past few weeks and I wouldnt expect them to run scared because of a few pennies shy. More important are the forward looking statements

I will listen to the Conference call tonite and if anyone wants to discuss it tommorrow, stop in our free chatsite tommorrow at 8am or so. yamner.com (you have to register and geta password - figure 5 minutes or so dpending on your email service).

I'll let you know what i find tommorrow.

Re: one of most bookmarked people on SI. When I used to play hockey I was one of the most market people and it usually meant I came home limping and hobblish with bruised ribs. Hopefully it doesnt get that bad here. Actually, its nice and I hope some of the posts help people.
