Vitas: Come to think of it, he really was in love with the market. Maybe he did look at it as if it were a babe. However, I am sure he watched the Babe play in Yankee Stadium since he was on Wall Street in the 20s.

Haim, So far they have pulled this market up with all kinds of shenanigans just about the
time it was running out of steam. Mergers, buyback announcements, splits, beating
estimates. I believe the Journal article was about rising rates. Well this afternoon Rubin
apparently came out and said rates were going down. There was a long pause in the
market, longer at least then I thought it should have been , and then a grudging rally
started, which was helped by a weird reversal in Amazon, which apparently just
announced a 2 for 1 a few minutes ago...
