I think that history shows that there is usually more than one hike BUT you are correct...I think the last time there was only one.
You are on top of things but the fact remains...predicting the direction of rates AIN'T easy. This is all complicated by everyone trying to anticipate everything. That's why charts can help you to see it where trying to figure it out based on fundamentals can drive you crazy.
Couple of things will likely happen. Rates will rise until it's anticipated that that's enough. Bonds then stocks will rally from that point. If this proves to be a false move then stocks will recover that much quicker.
