Zeuspaul, Spots, and JW Thanks for all the help ! Here is what I did -- downloaded new drivers - thorough Scandisk in the divice manager under SCSI Controllers I disabled Valuestor parallel ied drive -- what exactly is that ? I got no idea dropped the color down to 256 -- not to happy with this one ! Then I ventured to some sites that always cause prob. cruised around for about 1/2 hour - no prob - if anything was going to happen it would have by then. Now I'm going to put the color back where it was and try again ! and will finish this when I get back - wish me luck LOL Cool -- do not know what it was but just went through about 20 pages at ZD Net with no shredding ! Opera is a browser - it is cool and if you never tried it I suggest you give it a try, it has some neat feathers- you can have as many "browsers " as you want open at the same time 2- 4 - 6 - 8 and will save your settings if you want when you exit. You can adjust the size of each window 50 % to 150 % operasoftware.com it's small and fast and should only take 5 min. to download. It does not have a mail server so I tried Endora Light - it's free and works great. eudora.com What's the deal with windows 98 - I heard that you will be able to use multiple monitors ! This is something that I want to do and will prob. be getting a new set up in Sep. Here is a card that I found to use 2 monitors ( $ 650 ) I think, but if 98 already has this option no sense in getting the card.
