Didnt Tropel supply the lenses for GCA? Did ISI dump them for some
reason? I know that Tropel still exists but I'm not sure of who
they are supplying, if anybody.

Andrew & all,
UTEK could be viewed in a new light. If they acquire the assets ( & debts ?) of ISI they would have to look for a stable supply of lenses as well. Perhaps another acquisition coming around the corner.

Let me do some conjecture. LEt's assume that UTEK gets ISI assets and can ensuer a stable supply. What kind of market share could You think of UTEK/ISI to reach without giving away too much beef ? If they did it nicely this could mean some shareholder value in UTEK finally <G>.

regards
CROSY

I am trying to get some first hand information on this subject and will not rely on articles, salesmen, industry friends or application support. My understanding was that ISI and the SVGL lenses were made by a similar merchant provider of optics and not a captive organization of either of them.

We have a little mystery here so further investigation is necessary.
