Did your brokerage firm find the shares or are you shorting hoping they will find the shares by the 3rd day settlement day?

I think the only way to naked short is if one is a market maker, or a day trader who neglects proper procedure of first verifying that the stock may be margined.

Hank, I was able to short KTEL at Datek. I would not advise shorting KTEL to any but the most experienced traders, very volatile.
