I checked out Office Depot and Office Max here in Seattle and they aren't allowed to even put the newest 400MHz and 350MHz models on the floor. Reason given is that there is already enough demand to cause backlogs and a floor machine must be sold for near 10% of a totally new only (I swear that the floor clerk said ten percent - wish I could find one!)

Well all this is good to know...the Best Buy I was at must of been out of stock. In fact, the COmpaq area looked like it was the remains of a mob zone...people diving and fighting to get to the computers leaving a mess behind.

Maybe I'll check the CompUSA and Best Buy in Raliegh this weekend.
