Mightycujo... Are you still lurking around on this VVUS thread? Check out the Nashville Tennessean today..Living and Health section...Viagra Calls ... For those of you not fortunate enough to live in "God's Country" (Tennessee<g>) It starts with this huge caractature cartoon with a wife on the phone saying "Yes, Hello doctor. Yes, er-uh-uh...well, it's not what you can do for me, er-it's sorta for me also, but it's really for my husband..." Big ole burly looking man wringing his hands asking "What's he saying? What's he saying?" (ok, so that has nothing do do with anything but I found it humorous and decided to share!) Article is more of the same, piled higher and deeper (quote stolen) with one notable side article titled "What you can expect during an office visit". It states that you can't get Viagra without a perscription and you shouldn't (notice it says "shouldn't) get it without first having a physical examination. It goes on to explain the examination and what to expect. I'm reading this and saying.."yeah right" these guys who cry at the thought of a yearly prostate test are going to do this???" 1)The doctor will examine your penis, testicles and prostate gland and ask you questions about the problems you've been having and other medications you are on. 2)A blood sample will be taken to test for low levels of testosterone, which are associated with the loss of sex drive. (also checking for high blood suger, indication of diabeties) 3)The doctor also may perform a penile flow scan, an ultrasound test, to determine if there are problems with blood flow in the penis. OK..finally a mention of our beloved MUSE in an off-handed sort of way... 4) To increase blood flow, the doctor can prescribe Viagra. Or you may be prescribed medications, including the hormone prostaglandin E, to dilate the blood vessels. " Those medications can be injected into the penis or inserted in pellet form into the tip of the penis" (our 19 words of fame) Now, do I congratulate these doctors seeing 75 patients a day for being amazing, super men of medicine, or do I see a pattern of "let's make some quick bucks" going on here? I still say "lawyer's field day"... On one hand it is hard to believe non-ED men would go to this trouble and expense for an enhanced sexual experience but on the other hand we're talking men here, right?? Article also does some "back patting" on the 2 Vanderbilt docs who helped to make "Viagra possible". (one male, one female..wonder what kind of research that entailed?..sorry, I digress.) Anyway...excuse the "musings", must have been the mushrooms on the pizza last night kicking in this morning! Hope all have a great day! E'Lane
