Best Buy answers questions about Digital TV.

Due to the unrealistically high price of the first DTV sets, most manufacturers will roll out slightly less expensive converter boxes (in the range of $1,000 - $2,000), which will allow today's television sets and VCRs to read DTV signals. In addition, our existing analog signals will be transmitted over the airwaves until at least 2006, making the analog television sets you buy today, tomorrow and months from now, good for a minimum of nine years before you'd even need to buy a converter.

Should be good for CUBE.
