Good post Ed, Most people know the juniors as they are reading these posts and most people are familiar with these types of NRs but I and many others would not combine the two and point out the anomoly.

Nice point I would have missed the connection that juniors hardly ever invoke such protection.

I know of one other junior who did this, if you want to check and see what happened to them.

Novawest Resources on VSE.

Not to brag, but I did make some nice change there...

:)

I would have to say that I agree Ed. I saw the same "oddity" that you did. I believe that this release is indicative of something that is occurring right now, or else is a good possibility in the near future. Otherwise, the release would have been absolutely unnecessary.

Ed, I do not give it as much credence as, say, a company with real earning which is in a certain line of business. For example, just before Canadian 88 Energy made a run at Morrison Petroleums, the Board of Directors of Morrison was implementing a "poison pill". Usually, management of potential takeover targets adopt poison pills and lucrative severance agreements and management contracts to protect themselves in the event of a takeover.

As Peter has pointed out, this may amount to nothing.

I have a question: Is this the same Dalton Resources which was involved in drilling a high risk/high reward well on the Tsu Tsina Indian Reserve West of Calgary about 1 year ago. Was that also not a highly touted, deep gas play? I don't mean to rain on the party, but if it is the same company, the Tsu Tsina well turned out to be a great water producer. Remember, the statistic still holds: Average rate of success for exploration wells in Alberta: 10%
