There is never any knowing on what a share price will do.
However, IME a good company (Disney certainly fills the bill) that is heavily traded and heavily held and "liked" by investors (Disney fits that too) will go up after a split announcement, go up after the split, and then go slightly down for a short time. However, when I have bought before a split, I have always made more profit than I would have buying after the split with one exception (Kellogg did not give me a profit after its split and I sold with a very small loss)I. Sometimes though (when I did not decide to hold the investment longterm)I I have not made as much as I could have because I didnt sell at my target price but waited for more, and then, because I do not have access to the conputer, or time to do trading whenever I like (I work at something else full time) I have lost some of the gain.
