That Avant Copied Cadence Code Now Final

"The District Court also has invited Cadence to submit additional evidence demonstrating that Avant's Aquarius products contain
code that is substantially similar to Cadence's code. Cadence plans to submit such evidence shortly in conjunction with a new
motion to enjoin Aquarius.

BA Robertson Stephens upped its FY98 and FY99 earnings estimates to $1.20 and $1.53
from $1.18 and $1.45... Noted that deal flow in Q2 remains strong and that gross margins
should climb from 28% to 30%... Maintained its buy rating on the stk.
