Well, apples and oranges, but here we go anyway. Aol makes profits on subscriptions, selling ad space, and through arrangements with other companies to sell their services and products through AOL. In other words, AOL has a revenue mix that is diversified.

IOM on the other hand relies almost exclusively on retail Zip sales for profits, because OEM sales sure don't make any. IOM dances on a knife edge because of their reliance on one product to save their balance sheet.

AOL grows with a myriad of services. Iomega relies on Zip. And retail Zip sales are shrinking.
