THERMOGENESIS CORP. Receives Permission from the Medical
Devices Bureau of Health Canada to Sell Hand-Held Fibrin Sealant
Applicators in Canada

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- THERMOGENESIS CORP. (Nasdaq: KOOL - news) today
announced that it has received permission from the Medical Devices Bureau of Health Canada to begin selling their hand-held,
disposable fibrin sealant applicators in Canada. These precision applicators, which will sell for approximately US$40, were
designed to be used with THERMOGENESIS CORP.'s CryoSeal(TM) System, which received Health Canada clearance to
market in January 1998.

The CryoSeal System provides rapid automated harvesting of adhesive and clotting proteins from donor plasma to produce
Cryoprecipitated AHF (''Cryo''), an FDA-licensed biological product for the treatment of hemophilia. Normally prepared by
blood banks in a two-day, handling-intensive process, Cryo has been used by U.S. surgeons as an ''off-label'' fibrin glue, a
biological sealant used to stop bleeding and augment or replace sutures in surgical operations. The Company estimates that
Cryo is used in more than 500,000 surgical procedures annually by U.S. and Canadian surgeons.

James H. Godsey, PhD, the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer stated that ''obtaining permission from the
Canadian Medical Devices Bureau is an important milestone in THERMOGENESIS' efforts to establish our Cryo applicators
as the global market leader in fibrin-glue based surgical procedures.''

Dr. Godsey also noted that ''this is yet another exciting milestone for our CryoSeal System, following the recent appointments
of Dideco, S.p.A., Mirandola, Italy, as the exclusive distributor for the CryoSeal System and fibrin sealant applicators in
Europe and Asahi Medical Co., Ltd. for distribution in Japan.''

Based in Rancho Cordova, California, THERMOGENESIS CORP. has been a pioneer in designing, manufacturing and
distributing ultra rapid freezers and thawers for blood products and biological tissues. Additional information about the
Company can be obtained from its web site at www.thermogenesis.com
