No some buy them just for games which run on non-Windows OS's. Sorry, but most first-time buyers I talk to are buying one so they can get on the Internet.

Linux has a business model that can wait 3-5 years, can MSFT? It was only about four years ago that Gates said the Internet was at least 20 years away and yet only two years later he was cutting off air-supplies in a desperate grab for control of something that was still 18 years off? Strange how things can move more quickly than anticipated.
