Michael: Due to the high interest in Viagra, new Rxs will probably be continued to be made available for a while. Here is a summary of yesterday's New Rx data. A total of 113,134 New Rxs were written for Viagra during the week ending April 17th representing a resounding 95% market share. In comparison, 2,071 New Rxs were written for Lipitor in its second week. IMS spokeswoman said Viagra's New Rxs "were impressive". Note that the ED market is up 938% since Viagra became available.
