What's the deal here. Buy the rumor, sell the news? Is the street disappointed because of no news about the lawsuit?

"Excluding this charge, net income for the three months ended March 31, 1997, was $1.5 million, or $0.40 per diluted share."

That works out to 3.75 million diluted shares. I wonder why MSON didn't adjust their figure for last year's quarter for the stock split? Makes the comparison worse than it was.
