They don't have to worry about backwards compatibility issues and historic baggage which, I suppose, is the reason. Which allows them to start with a clean slate leveraging the experiences gained by the larger vendors. Interesting replay of an old reality. Seen this many times before. Can they penetrate existing large accounts, though? Not easily, IMO, unless they target giga-sized displacement apps for higher order transport systems, such as the carrier WAN itself... such as the 12000 is doing.
