Since you posted it for what it is at this point: a rumor. I don't see why anybody should throw bricks at you. Of course, you have all kind of people on a public forum like this one.

From my point of view, I would not be surprised to see many search engine sites being bought this year as Internet becomes more an more a powerful communication media by adding radio broadcast, TV broadcast, animation, telephony, ... and so on. When some companies realize that they are losing advertising revenues to the Internet, they won't fight it ... they'll buy it.

Tim...hope your source is more than the anonymous e-mail mentioned on YAHOO boards. BTW...SEEK is leading the charge on a % basis (+12%). But CNBC hasn't even mentioned them yet when touting the internet. OOOPS, they just said the SEEK word.

Well the only consolation to that, poor aims.

I don't know either way, but from all the rumored takeovers that have been flying these last months, that, to me seems the most logical.
