Hiram: I should clarify, I use Window on Wall Street for "quasi-daytrading". It works. The time it took to build a database of stocks is another matter as you know. I would guestimate that I have financial data on 40 stocks in that group.

Also, I maintain an online account for the daytrading. As profits build, I add to long positions in a traditional brokerage account at PW. Also have an account with a discount brokerage. Long positions (long-term are Intel, Caterpillar, WorldCom, Oracle (which perhaps should have been replaced last September, and mostly mid to large cap stocks.

I didn't mean to imply that I have close and personal knowledge of 300+ stocks and the time to remain 100% current. But I do use the charting and indicators, backtesting, news, etc and some degree of subjective input which has worked for me so far.
