Execution of Market orders is done on a first come/first served basis, so any pending sell market orders must be executed before yours.

Also PFE is a NYSE stock which slows down execution a bit as compared to Nasdaq, since there are human beings (specialists) that match buyers with sellers.

You only lost 9/16 (.5625) on a stock that was trading for $115, which is a really small amount (~.5%) Stocks like PFE can easily move up/down half a point at a time. If your market sell order got executed half a point above you'd be praising E-Trade.

Is E-Trade perfect??? No.
