I think it will be good for CPQ. Intel has a record of reprisal against companies that foster any kind of competition. CPQ went through that in '93 and '94 when they first started the shift to cyrex, AMD, and invested in NextGen. So this will mean Intel will not be able to use as many weapons against CPQ if CPQ decides to push Alpha, for example. There has been a lot of bad blood between CPQ and Intel over the years.
