That is unlikely given that CORBA is an established standard. They are in the process of trying to make DCOM as capable as CORBA via MTS, which is in a sense "bastardizing" it.

The real point is that MS owns the desktop but not he Enterprise. They can not cram their enterprise "solutions" down the throats of the industry the way they have with desktop (by giving them away). However, if the various Unix vendors (primarily Sun) can not figure out how to make their solutions more attractive and affordable at the low end, NT will be THE enterprise OS period. Then MS will have more weight to throw around.
