Melissa, Tom still has trouble saying that SEBL and VNTV compete.

Supposedly, Siebel is selling its call center product and Scopus is still selling their call center product. I have trouble thinking they are going to sell two products. So there is overlapping product. Also, nobody talks about field service but field service is a big market which neither Scopus or Siebel has a credible offering. VNTV acquired ICC and should have a good product coming this summer.

Q1 will be the weakest quarter of the year for VNTV. By Q3, VNTV will be firing on all cylinders while SEBL will likely still be struggling with its integration and decelerating revenue growth.

In the near term, there is this DSO issue to worry about. It is possible Lucent is coming on and gave VNTV some cash for a zero DSO (like EDS did) which would be a trigger to get this stock to the $40's. However, that is speculative. We will know in 26 hours.

>>Also, why is Luongo spending his time at the H&Q conference discussing what sebl is going to do with the scop product line

I agree with Meliisa's comment. Luango must be very confident about the numbers VNTV is going to announce. Shouldn't he be helping the salesforce closing those big deals, as they invariably come before quarter end, instead of wasting his time and effort on the competition? Statement to the press to reply to Siebel, H&Q conference..... what a waste.

A true Gorrila shouldn't care less about the competition (nor even recognise them). It seems to suit Tom rather well. Come on John!
