Hi Chuzz,..Re:<<I notice a recurring theme with bears. >>

I think you are right. It's finally blatantly apparent that no matter how excellent the economy is, rates are going up. And no matter how well a company executes it's business plan,it's managing it's stock price.

I think that these negatives must originate in genes, i.e. bear genes are inherently pessimistic.<g> Even a day with some sunshine would be partly cloudy as opposed to partly sunny. You know there was some health study done recently that stated that people with positive attitudes lived a lot longer. Interesting?

We obviously can't win any rational discussion re. the aspects of Dell's achievements. Not even pictures can influence some folks' opinion! (I always personally liked pictures too)! Fortunately some of us recognize the opportunities.

Best,

Lee

Just got into the mind of a DULLHEAD (opposite of DELLHEAD) and found the following answers. I never had the pleasure of knowing Jim Patterson. No insult intended to any bulls or bears

Good morning Lee,

I notice a recurring theme with bears. Whatever news comes out is construed negatively. I will let Jim Patterson and the other Dell bears fill in the blanks.

For example,

If the company says sales are robust, this is negative because ...(!?) sales can go bust.

If the company decides to borrow money to expand this is negative because ... (!?) Dell is losing money

If the company has lower component costs this is negative because ... (!?) cheap components are used

If the company owes its success to JIT manufacturing this is negative because ...(?!) workmanship is shoddy with JIT and BTO manufacturing.

If a competitor is emulating Dell's manufacturing system this is negative because ... (?!) JIT and BTO are proprietary formulae, stolen by DELL in the first place from competitors.

If a competitor is losing market share to Dell this is negative because ... (?!), DELL has not put itself out of business.

TTFN,

JPR
