<The strong rise in prices for the hard drives stocks last week, and their dropping prices the first two days this week, are basically random events.>

How can you say price reactions to earnings reports are random events? Prices traded up to earnings and then sold off in reaction. This is not random.

Anyway, you miss my original point. What do we see going forward? Do you say that you just don't have a clue? The random quality of the market means that there is no point in trying to make decisions based on the fundamentals? Are stocks going to hang at these levels until earnings return? Are they going to fall?

Personally, I feel the consistent comment that inventory is down and demand appears to be resuming is a positive note. I think we won't go back to recent lows. I think the big questions is the overall market.

When if ever will we see some consolidation in Storage? Is WDC a target? Why is WDC always trading options at a premium, if there is not some underlying optomisim?

Regards,

Mark
