it was agreed a few months ago that VSAT is not off topic here so I will throw in my 2 cents.

VSAT, in my opinion, is the type of defensive stock that I like to own in the event the market tumbles. There is really very little down side risk. You know I am not a rocket scientist but based on what I read about VSAT, they have an interest niche. For little companies like VSAT to be already making money. FY ending Mar 98 is estimated at $.63, equating to a trailing PE of only 22.2. With a solid backlog, they almost have no chance of missing earnings.

With such a tiny float, I am not sure if there are any institutional following. So the trading is very erratic. If you buy 3-5K shares on any given day, it is not uncommon that you "control" 10+% of the daily volume.

Doug, why don't you buy 20K shares today and see how high you have to go to buy your last shares.
