Keep in mind that Steve Lair was interim CEO for all of TWO WEEKS. Sure, he remained on the board, but why in heck is somebody CEO of a company for TWO WEEKS??? What did the company think they were accomplishing by having him as CEO for two weeks?

Did they get the press they wanted out of it, and then move on?

As a board member, he probably has less liability than as an officer. It's also notable that he's only on the board of ESVS, not NETZ. ESVS, at this point, is relatively less tainted than NETZ.
