Nonetheless, I am impressed by revenues of $47 Million. I was expecting $35. Remember, I don't give a rat's ass if this company makes money or not. I am not invested in it. But every sale that Syquest makes is another potential Iomega sale down the drain.

You have been saying that SYQt will be out of business "in two months" for 2 years now. It's still here. And, it continues to suck sales away from Iomega. IMO, the thing that will finally spell doom is when Castlewood's 2.16 Gig Orb hits the shelves. Bye-Bye SyQuest.

And Bye-Bye Iomega Jaz and a large chunk of Zip Plus.

Re: "SyQuest Reports Fiscal 1998 Second Quarter Results; Increased Demand for SparQ Drive Boosts Revenue by 180%"

What a headline. The EdHeads show their style once again. SyQuest is of course comparing this quarter to a freak quarter last year where they had their lowest reported revenue in years. While the comparison is standard practice and factually correct, the implications of the headline significantly overstate actual revenue improvement if you were to compare it to an average quarter. SyQuest has done well with the SparQ and I believe it's time for them to release information in a manner that clearly shows where they're at without the unnecessary and misleading hype.
