<Tellabs is "no longer in the battle">

Trevor -

Thank you for excellent post.

TLAB is still in a battle. The company generates 1.2 - 1.5 billion a year and is pretty tough player. Buying a FORE would strengthen
them a lot. They have about 750,000,000 in cash and could easily
add 30 - 40 million shares to their total shares_out.

Of cause I'd prefer NT, but at this stage TLAB sounds not too bad
at all. Monitoring FORE stock suffering during last 18 months I
am firmly convinced they wouldn't and shouldn't stand alone - Wall St.
is not interested at all.

I think FORE bought some small GB Ethernet company before and it
didn't work out. It will take many long months to catch up with
other GB players considering size of R&D now and trend to improve
margins.

There were rumors about FORE plans to acquire new company(s) at the
end of December quarter. You know what happen to the stock.

Good Investing, Igor
