S,

I work in a Radio Shack, part time, and the information that I have seen is that RS has a configuration that has been designed for them. I don't see much ability to change the configuration, except for the monitor. Their systems start at $949 - introduction, and will be $999 list for an AMD chip. This high end (around 2149, I think) has a Pentium II.

The 'glitch' as I see it is that RS had a deal with IBM and that got dumped. Those that bought the IBM through RS may not be too happy, and those about to buy question if RS will be selling CPQ in the future.

Regards,

Ken
