Ken, Even though you are an IOM bear I welcome your posts as they are well thought out and rational. (as opposed to the garbage poster) You are asking why some of the bulls are still holding. Personally I have great faith in the upcoming Clik! product and I want to be in the stock when it's released and on the market. SR

This from thestreet.com re: H&Q conference and Iomega

The Pain, the Pain! The Disk-Drive Pain!

The disk-drive industry still hasn't quite recovered from last
October's tech selloff. That's probably why attendance was
sparse for such disk-drive names as Seagate (SEG:NYSE)
and Iomega (IOM:NYSE) Monday. One interesting company in this space, however, is Quantum QNTM:Nasdaq), which presented Tuesday morning.

That says it all. I sold my Iomega last week, not because I don't think it could be a great performer by year-end, but because I can't stand to watch it go up or down 1/8 each and every day.

No money managers care about this stock at present. It's going to either take a buyout or at least 2 more quarters with good reports. I just can't wait that long when stocks like Amazon go up $13 in one day. (Ever notice that yes it goes down too, but it has never gone down nearly that much in one day). Sure beats watching paint dry.

RE: Start Off Small?

Ken,

>> SYQT started with small loses too. <<

Hmmm, would that have been the $33 million loss in Q1 96? Or the $55 million loss in Q2 96? Or perhaps the $41 million loss in Q3 96?

I normally respect your opinions and research, but it looks like this statement is about as well-researched as a Rocky-ism.

What would it take for me to sell?? Well frankly, I only have 1000 shares left in IOM which is such a small part of my portfolio that I will probably hold them into bankruptcy or euphoria. Just been around to long to not finish the book.

Heck, things could be worse. Frankly I think we have a better chance of going up from here though not confident enough to add..
