Can I explain it? Let me begin by saying that I've been in GPTX since 4, pre-split, about 2 years. I have traded it often, but have held a good-sized position as a core holding. GPTX has gone down on earnings for the last 2 quarters. Why? I have no explanation. I just don't get it. As for the spread, well, there are SOES bandits now manipulating the B/A. The spread is always huge when trading slows down. But little sizes often trade between the spread (I think the last trade at 14 1/8 was 200). I recently bought 1000 at 13 11/16 and sold it 3 days later between the spread at 14 1/2. This stock is just getting discovered and I think you'll see good volume on a daily basis. Insiders own a large percentage: for this reason, I would expect another split before 20. But the story and the earnings are compelling. Katz- the CEO -- is a first-rate manager. Fundamentally, the company is as sound as it gets. But the stock price can move around, a lot, and the spread stuff can drive you mad. I hope this helps.
