What most-USA-R failing 2 understand OR acknowledge is: UK has pre-announced they will be conducting biz in of EU on Jan 1 like everyone else.

What difference does it make whether they are officially named member # 12 now or later? If they are on/in the system, but officially are "unofficial,"
aren't they still members????

Just because they aren't officially putting their name on the roster until they have to surrender their currency in 2002, doesn't mean squat initially. By then, every Brit will have been conducting his/her biz affairs by EU requirements/standards/currency conversions for almost 4 years, and the UK govt will just be making it "official" in 2002.
