I'm not concerned about the short interest. Sure they think that VSNR
will repeat the trend downward. I think they are wrong this time.
People are getting more computer saavy and this market is growing
rapidly now IMO.

On thing though. What will VSNR do next? I hope they address the
following:

Software:
on PPD - there should be an auto stack function. Presently, one
highlights the items and selects stack.
- there should be a way to rename and delete folders in the
program
- there should be a better interface in the software to share
scanned files with people on the internet regardless of
platform. I know there is a different offering, but I think
that this should be bundled.
- The Mac side misses the OCR 100. I would buy it now if
I could.

On Hardware:
- the corporate side is missing heavy duty sheet fed loader
scanner. For instance, let's say one has a stack of invoices
to scan. You don't want to wait around to scan each one. I
know that Xerox is looking squarly at this with its
docucenter products.
- the Strobe needs a wider, funnel type feeder mouth. It would
make it easier to feed the sheets.
- the Strobe also needs something for cleaning. Periodically, the
scanner interface gets gummed up (like a fax machine). The
strobe doesn't open up to clean. What I've done is wad up some
paper towels with water and that usually does the job (Caution:
this is not a recommendation).

There is a lot of synergies with money management software which
should be explored in greater detail. Especially integrating data
extration from set statements of account for instance to quicken.
There's a program I used in the past called Monarch which did
something similar - the user can customize data extration from
standardized statements. Totally a user unfriendly program, but
hey it's an opportunity for the next generation scanning software.

Sincerely,
Ben
