Gary, no offense at all! You have a good plan; I look for the same things and use TA for entry and exit points only. As you know, I'll share whatever I know; I know some TA "gurus" (no, not the thread guys) that jealously guard their "secret" indicators, and other guys that sell their ideas. They must not be making enough money. I just look for stuff that works; for example that thing I put on the thread yesterday, which if anyone cared to watch, worked pretty well today.

One thing I didn't mention that I got from a guy about 9 months ago; on short term trades, he had the S&P charted on a tick chart and NEVER traded against it. I think that is a good idea as a rule, assuming you have watched the stock long enough to see how it goes with the S&P.

It looks like lots of stocks have a habit of following the S&P 500 by 5 or 10 minutes. But we know that there are only so many things we can watch at one time. :o) pete
