New Press Release:

VANCOUVER, May 5 /CNW-PRN/ - THERMO TECH(TM) TECHNOLOGIES INC.
Listed : NASDAQ
Trading Symbol: TTRIF
THERMO TECH(TM) TECHNOLOGIES INC. (The Company) is pleased to announce
the May 12th Grand Opening of Northwood Recycling and Energy Inc., owned by
Ontario Thermo Tech(TM), the Company's joint venture partnership with Ontario
Disposal. The Certificate of Approval issued for the site allows throughput
of 800 metric tons per day, competitively priced at $70-80 per metric ton or
approximately $56,000 in gross revenue per day.
The opening of Northwood, strategically located just north of Highway
401, the main Toronto-Montreal corridor and immediately adjacent to a major
new route, is perfectly timed. With the recent closure of the Brock Road
Landfill which serviced Eastern Toronto and the Region of Durham, Northwood
will be in an ideal position to provide this much needed and critical
alternative for customers in the area.
The Northwood facility utilizes a revolutionary new vault compaction
system for solid waste handling which: (1) unlike conventional compactors,
generates trailer sized loads and greatly reduces handling time; (2) allows
the operator the ease of maximizing payloads and minimizing handling and
transportation costs; and (3) eliminates double handling for trailers and
containerized waste. Thereby, the system ensures minimal costs and effective
long term viability of the transfer facility.
Construction at the Northwood site of the 400-metric ton per day. Oshawa
Bio Conversion, Thermo Master(TM) Plant will enable Ontario Thermo Tech(TM) to
offer the most advanced and comprehensive recycling alternative in Canada.
Mr. Ren Branconnier, President and CEO of the Company stated. ''The
Grand Opening of the Northwood facility is the first of many anticipated major
developments with our Ontario Thermo Tech(TM) joint venture. The progress
that has been made over the past months, as we have worked together to form
this powerful alliance and comprehensive waste management system, tells me
that we have made a strategic decision that is already paying off.''
Thermo Tech(TM) Technologies Inc. is a leader in organic waste recycling
with offices in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada and Atlanta, Georgia. Thermo
Tech's(TM) patented thermophilic process is utilized in compact and
environmentally friendly Thermo Master(TM) plants to convert biodegradable
food waste into high protein animal feed and waste water treatment sludges
into fertilizer concentrate.
