No, I am saying we should not get too drunk on our own wine now. I have felt the real move, if it comes, will take place in the 18 months
starting July 1, 1998. In the meantime, it would be nice if the stock worked it's way higher in a slow, gradual, orderly way over the next three months, perhaps testing the old highs. All of us are so darn bullish on the company, we wonder why any one in their right mind who took the trouble to buy it in the first, would sell it now? Nevertheless, the stock isn't going anywhere until we run out of the sellers, whoever they have been.

When the earnings take off like a hockey stick, as many of us hope and envision, then the stock could capture the imagination of many investors. It could go quickly and rapidly to high levels which might tempt many, including me, to sell prematurely. I don't think I ever could have stayed in Microsoft for the full ride.
