Hey rudedog,
I don't know anybody else who even remembers the 1800. I worked for CSC at IBM in Sunnyvale in the early 60's when we developed the operating system for that piece of junk. We used 1130's and the 5 beta protoypes for development. I actually saw a production machine several years later when I was at Dec. We were replacing it with a PDP-11.

This is the first time I've been on SI for awhile. It seemed like everything was so sloooow lately. I just connected on the IBM network on my home PC and it really makes a difference. I think Netcom is just getting too bogged down. I've been very unhappy with their hub here in Thousand Oaks. It has had a lot of reliability problems. I'm going to install the IBM 32 bit dialer on my PII at work tomorrow and give it a real test.

Did you ever do a LDAQ with an odd address?

Gary
