Technology Sector Watch

I created a little net to look at the action of the major tech sector players to determine what potential existed for near term growth based a variety of factors from both fundamental and technical criteria. Of extreme importance what how the stock reacted in terms of the last four days.

For whatever its worth, the following are ranked in order of potential (best=first) by subsector (the subsectors are not in any particular order, although Communication Tech had the most ranking high):

Diversified Technology

none (ROK almost made it)

Wireless Communication

MTEL

Semiconductor Equipment

UNPH
PLAB
CMOS

Interent

VRTY
MACR

Communication Technology

YURI
XIRC
TLAB
NOKA
LEVL
INTV
CQ
CDRD
ACE
ADCT

Personal Computers

GTW
CPQ

Mini Computers

SRA

Software

PIXR
AWRD

Semiconductors

VTSS
MXIM

Networking

TLXN

Electronics

SANM
NIPNY
AHA
(SMOD was a close 4th)

Computer Services

ANET
(WIND was a close 2nd)

Computer Parts

none

As for what one does with this information is a very good question.
If you are long on any of them, hold. If you are looking at any
a good entry should be soon. I would caution that these aren't day trade candidates necessarily, but should help narrow the field.

btw, thanks David, but trading isn't what I'm really good at.

ORBKF.. is one terrific company.. Israeli stocks are usually very undervalued and that is the case for orbkf.. according to it's valuations this stock should be trading for at least $70 a share.

Last quarter earnings came in last quarter 0.71 previous one came in at 0.70. This time the mean is 59. It's had 4 quarters of earnings surprises. Many of those were substantial surprises. Technical chart is super, Analysts love ORBKF, and insiders are buying. It's definitely a "VALUE" stock, and I definitely would consider it a very potentially profitable earnings play..
