Soup,

For some reason, I always feel HP's quality products approach is
very similar to Apple's. HP bought Apollo Computer in early '90's
whose workstation technology was melted into HP's original HP-UX.
Apple's Rhapsody may be of interest to HP since:

(1) There is no good relationship between HP and Microsoft due to
the issue of internet installation as default in any PC to be sold;

(2) Compaq bought DEC and becomes #2 in terms of revenue, just
after IBM. HP has been squeezed out to be #3. HP needs
fresh blood injection to boost their leading technology;

(3) Apple's the only precious pearl left in this industry. Apple has
their own superior technology which may meet HP's strategic
plans on new technology expansion.

Like I said in the previous post, as long as HP starts to team with
Apple, it got to have something special that has been planned
at the same time. Just my imagination.
